Frequently asked questions

What background information do I need to know before I start the course?

The HARP training program was built for any registered Occupational Therapist. We assume you have basic OT knowledge and skills. HARP is built to train OTs who practice in any area to become proficient in delivering fall prevention interventions.

Do I need previous experience in home modifications?

While it will certainly help if you have had home modification experience, it is not necessary to take this training. Resources will be offered to get you up to speed in providing the best modifications to remove hazards in the home.

Can Physical Therapists or Nurses take this training?

At this time, we have training only for Occupational Therapists.

How long does the HARP training take to complete?

There are four modules that take about approximately three hours to complete. An online case study takes an additional thirty minutes. And the synchronous zoom checkout usually takes about an hour.
